.........."no Bobby, only the winners get to go to Disney World!"
BATON ROUGE -- After giving one of the biggest speeches in his time as a politician, Gov. Bobby Jindal is heading to Disney World. Jindal's office says the governor and his family leave for the Orlando vacation resort today. The vacation comes one day after Jindal gave his first televised speech to the nation, offering the Republican Party's response to President Barack Obama's address to Congress.
Did you hear this speech? What a debacle! If this is the best that the GOP can muster to rebut a Democratic Presidential speech, then the Republican Party is in real trouble!
I think that the greatest fear of the Repbulican sheeple is that this stimulus plan may work. My gosh, what if it does? Will all the the Republicans vanish? No, but Bobby Jindal certainly will.

Hmmmm... I didn't see it. What was the debacle? And what's with "Republican sheepl?" Unfortunately, the Republicans are the opposite of sheeple--we think for ourselves (and as such have obviously irritated the establishment). If we were sheeple, we'd all have voted for the celebrity candidate like the TV told us to. ;)

He (Jindal) talked to everyone as if we were four years old and had no ability to understand his points, which was nothing more than the standard "company" answer - yada, yada, yada. Sheeple are a result of those who accept the views of FOX News, the Drudge Report, Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh to form their views. If you really think about it, they tell you what to believe. There's not much wiggle room for good, clear thought. There's not a news outlet anywhere that doesn't put a spin on things to make you believe one way or another. There's also certain church denominations that pretty much expect their folks to be Republican - i.e. the fundamentalists here in my own community. In my personal opinion, Rush Limbaugh has emerged as the most powerful Republican in the country. No current seated Republican politician would dare question him for fear of being flogged on his show and sent straight to the back of the bus. Here's what Limbaugh says about Bobby Jindal: LIMBAUGH: “I love Bobby Jindal... [T]he people on our side are really making a mistake if they go after Bobby Jindal on the basis of style. Because if you think — people on our side I’m talking to you — those of you who think Jindal was horrible, you think — in fact, I don’t ever want to hear from you ever again." Read that carefully; "the people on our side." he's speaking to the Ditto Heads, not Americans. Be right and believe what I tell you to believe. Don't examine the facts and make your own decision. Why do we have to chose battle lines and sides? Are we not all Americans? Bobby Jindal was the Republican sacrificial lamb in this case. If the stimulus plan does work, and many Republicans don't want it to, then whoever rebutted the President's speech is going to look like an idiot. Talk is that Jindal will be a real contender for the GOP nomination in 2012. And as for celebrity status, what was that business with Sarah Palin all about? Do you really believe that she was the best choice for the job? Had she made her appearence earlier in the campaign, there may have been enough "celebrity" to have elected John McCain - too little, too late.

On a different note, I got Cheeseburger In Paradise the other day. I hope to start on it next week. We got It's Alright finished - what a cool tune! It has a such a relaxed groove about it. I really enjoy your arrangements.
