..........Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona and Zion National Park, Utah.

We started our day on Monday by going to Zion National Park, Utah. Our hotel for the night before was right at the edge of the park, and we had a wonderful view from our window. We rode the bus shuttle around the park and made stops for pictures. Josh, I don't have the eye for pictures that you do. The other thing that disapoints me about my pictures is the use of the light; which gets the best of me in several cases. It's really difficult to get in the right place to see some of these things (trees, etc.), and you have to take them at the time of day that you are there.

After leaving Zion, we traveled back into Arizona to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park. What can you say about the Grand Canyon? It is absolutely breathtaking in every way. The humidity was up to about 30% today, and the haze is evident in the afternoon. The National Park Service (Dept. of the Interior) has done an outstanding job in providing visitors with great places to view all of the parks. There are trails everywhere, and overlooks with safety railings quite often. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

............these pictures are all from the Grand Canyon.

..........these pictures are from Zion. Notice how much nicer the sky is in the AM hours.

Great pictures! Do they still have donkeys that you ride down the trail?

Thanks for the compliment on the pics; but, I don't hold a candle to Josh. He has a much better eye and knowledge of light that I do. Yes, they do have the donkey trail rides. I heard some very dissapointed folks that found out the day we were there that all the rides were booked for several weeks out. Needless to say, it is a beautiful place.
